Stephanie Carlisle is a writer, environmental researcher and architect. This site is the result of a year-long fieldwork project conducted in 2006, with the support of The Watson Fellowship. At the time she was fresh out of an undergraduate degree in Anthropology and Religious Studies and eager to travel.
